The Leveling Experience

Ever notice that while you are leveling everything is new and exciting. You take in the beauty of the environment, its lush forests to its decimated wastelands. Quests that bring you to a secluded spot that you promise yourself to visit again later. Your friends yelling that they found something awesome and to come check it out. Testing out new powers and reveling in the way they look and what you can do with them or how much you can obliterate. Leveling is an experience, while being the highest level character is ultimately what will happen...please stop and smell the roses or the lava as the case may be. While leveling you can create special bonds with people, discover unexplored places, find new and interesting ways to use the powers and items that the gaming gods have bestowed upon you. In the end though, leveling is quite like growing up. You don't miss the little things until you are old. While you are growing up people wish to be older more powerful, but when you are old you wish to be young and carefree again. Leveling is much the same way and it's most evident when running across one of those special places that you promised yourself to visit again later on. Your heart clenches a little, you pause in amazement and you smile to yourself before continuing on with things that adults do.
